East Wind by Andersen Storm, © 2025
It came with the wind a whisper
A cry flew ahead of the storm
Darkness took over the sky
Stacking waves carried crowns of foam
The East Wind sends his riders.
They roar across the sea
And dance in the Atlantic
Over me
I should not have swum out
Nor should I long and pray
Your little house by the sea
Is empty and cold anyway
The sailor who picked me up
Gave me warm clothes and tea
He told sinister stories
Of the monsters from wind and sea
The Coast Guard couldn’t believe
That someone really craves
I shouldn’t have told them
I have had followed darker waves
The East Wind sends the riders
They roar across the sea
And dance in the Atlantic
Chasing you for me
I should not have being saved
You should not have fallen so hard
Your little house on the east coast
Has been blown away from my heart
Blown away from my heart
They roar across the sea
And dance in the Atlantic
Chasing you for me
I should not have being saved
You should not have fallen so hard
Your little house on the east coast
Has been blown away from my heart
Already blown away from my heart
